EEB / WWF Snapshot

The European Environment Bureau (EEB) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) strongly support the Water Framework Directive (WFD), adopted by the EU in December 2000, which they see as the most important legislative tool for freshwater protection across the EU.
